District 8 Highway Employees Credit Union offers members a variety of Deposit Products to meet their financial needs.
Share Accounts Information
Share Savings Accounts
Your share account, maintained at a minimum balance of $20.00, represents your partial ownership of the credit union. You earn quarterly dividends often higher than dividends paid at other financial institutions. When you open a share account, you become eligible for all the services that your credit union offers.
Special Share Savings Account
Each member can have up to 3 additional share accounts to save for any purpose you choose: vacation, insurance, house, etc. There is no minimum deposit required and the special share accounts receive the same dividend rate as the main share account.
Electronic Deposit / Withdraw and Payroll Deduction
Electronic deposit or withdraw allows you to deposit or withdraw funds from your account here at the credit union or another financial institution. Use payroll deduction to save money, make loan payments or do both. You choose the amount you want to deduct and we will automatically deposit it into the account(s) of your choice.
Life Savings Insurance
Provided at no additional cost to you, the Life Savings Insurance will match up to to $2,000 on your share account balance per member in the event of your death.

Share Certificates Information
Share Certificate of Account
The Share Certificate of Account is equivalent to a Certificate of Deposit (CD).
We offer the following share certificate terms:
- 6 Month Share Certificates
- 12 Month Share Certificates
- 18 Month Share Certificates
- 24 Month Share Certificates
Share Certificates require a minimum $1,000.00 amount for adults and $500.00 minimum purchase for those under 18 years of age.
Our Rates are comparable to other institutions.
